This was a very busy week for Bitcoin Design Foundation efforts. Read contracts, prepared slides, updated the website, planned 2024 goals, and just overall learned a lot from meetings with various people who are actively involved in the open-source funding aspects of the bitcoin ecosystem. Major shout-out to Mo and Daniel for the awesome collaboration, and all the aforementioned people for being so open and supportive. It’s taking more and more shape. Hopefully we can go fully live with this initiative soon. Can’t wait.
For the Bitcoin Design Guide, we finally pushed Michael’s how-to on custom spending conditions live. I worked a bit more on the multi-wallet page and there’s some really good discussion happening around use cases. I love it when my work gets super thoroughly analyzed and debated. And I reviewed the first draft of the Wallet Scrutiny case study that Mo is working on. They also had the Twitter Space on wallet security I mentioned last week, check out the recording.
Friday evening, we got the final OK for Saving Satoshi chapter 3 completion. Big shout-out to the team. Speaking of, I’m creating custom portraits for all the team members to put on the website via Midjourney. Hope it makes everyone a bit more proud to work on this project. Here’s are some iterations of Tuedon’s photo. The process is pretty straightforward, which is nice.
For Nosta, I added a small profile tips box to let people know what they can do with their profiles. I have had the design floating around for months now, so it was very straightforward to add it in. Just trying to get something done every week for the Nostrasia hackathon.
Click the box to see something like this. Click each tip to get taken to a list of Nostr apps that help you do that respective activities.
Several things I did not get to this week, like pushing the latest milestone of Bitcoin Icons live. Foundation work sucked in a ton to time. Gotta get on that.
Next week will be interesting. There’s a fun thing that I can’t share more about where I am super curious how it will pan out. And then I’ll attend Offscript and exchange with other designers and creatives in the broader Web3 space. I’ll be facilitator for a discussion around design systems, which will be cool. And then I’m just very curious to see who’s around, what everyone does and thinks, and share a few bits about what we’re doing in the community.
And to repeat once more…
Peace ✌️
