As I am writing this weekly update, I get a notification that Mo just published hers. Make sure to check it out as well. We work together closely, so there’s lots of overlap, but probably different perspectives and take-aways.
A highlight this week was the Etta Wallet design review. Great project, but with a bit of an unclear future. Collin handles it all solo, which is super impressive. But no matter how awesome, every single person has limits in what they can achieve. And we all have things we like to do, and other things we’d rather someone else does. That’s why we need teams and communities. Collin has asked for more community contributions, now we need to figure out how to make that happen. Phase 2 basically.
The Bitcoin Core App design call was also really good. Nice progress on the wallet import flow, and tons of great user research trickling in.
A good chunk of time this week went into writing documents and discussions around the foundation. We’re making really good progress, everything is tightening up.
Zeus accessibility testing continues. We need more designers and developers working on accessibility fixes hands-on (no theory, just doing).
Nosta now shoes user statuses (example) and I registered the project for the Nostrasia hackathon. Not expecting to get tons of work done due to lack of time, but small steps matter and add up, and I like supporting hackathons. I’ll also be a judge for Legends of Lightning Vol 2. Big thanks to Johns for organizing all of these.

Picked up a couple of small outstanding issues to add the research kit to the projects page and adding a new header for the receiving bitcoin page (see above)
Did not spend much time on Saving Satoshi or Wallet Scrutiny this week. Focus ebbs back and forth (out of necessity), and this week it was on other projects.
