Alright, so for Wallet Scrutiny, I finalized a proper first draft of the expert opinions feature and shared it broadly and then we had a good discussion on our weekly call.
I think this one will take some time before it can roll out in production. Priority is the wallet page, and then probably the home page. Since the comments are Nostr-based, it needs some smart development work to create a solid foundation, not even speaking of sophisticated moderation features. Design being ahead of development is generally a good thing (designing is planning, and 1 minute of planning saves 10 minutes of doing… or something like that). Nostr is interesting. It breaks open things that have been considered a done deal for a while.
Also good progress overall this week on Saving Satoshi. Documented some more designs, planned a communal workflow for image generation, got some code merged, and we have a few new developers. The dev crew is coming together, thanks to Jonas, and things should start move well now. Next week I need to start mock-up lessons for chapter 3 based on the content Stacie has been working on. Should be fun.
I am really excited to have a new contributor to the Bitcoin UI Kit. Chris has lots of experience with design systems and is super thorough. We had some good conversations about the project and how to improve and set up a task list. The project had been in maintenance mode for a few months since I’m spread too thinly, but together I think we’ll be able to really beef it up.
And the new Newsletter page is live, a draft for another page for social media is in review, I might attend or do a talk at BTC Prague, gave some feedback to the UX research kit and you should too, had a great convo with Steyn about the role of PINs in different wallet configuration, some other stuff, and I’m reading an exhilarating 160-page document about tax regulations for non-profits in Germany.
Have a good weekend 🤹🏻♀️
