Let’s (attempt to) get back to a weekly schedule here.
For the Bitcoin Core App, we’re finalizing and implementing the coin selection and sending to multiple recipients UI. We have a pretty good collaboration flow going right now. Super nice.
A little bit of coin selection.
A little bit of sending to multiple recipients.
The topic of apparent complexity of this form comes up here and there. A big thing to keep in mind is that the form starts very simple, and the user has to intentionally enable those additional features (coin selection, include fee in amount, multiple recipients, send full balance, etc). That way we’re trying to keep users in control, we just have to make sure they understand what each feature does for them.
Also, we’re planning to present both the dev and design progress on the application at the BTC Prague dev/hack/day. Looking forward to it.
For Saving Satoshi, I did a very quick test using Hedra to do lip-sync and animation on two of the characters. It’s pretty cool for 20-30 minutes.
Also, I’m excited that we now have mentors for the Saving Satoshi Summer of Bitcoin program. I’m very excited to see what will come from that work.
Our talk about the Open Design Guide is live.
And then it’s just been a ton of planning last week, where I’m hopping from planning doc to planning doc. We have a foundation board meeting this week, the guide user interviews are coming up, and then all the event-related stuff. Designathon organization is making good progress (we did a first announcement post last week), there’s just a lot more to do across the website, programming, partnerships with other events, sponsors & prizes, and all those good things. I am very thankful for the really nice group of people chipping in.
Now let’s get some more stuff done.
Happy Monday.
